haikus for an ancient avid:
old school editing what is this 'Mac' you speak of? no windows xp?
one button mouse click oh how it befuddles me how will I adapt?
ancient AVID screen render you bastard, render! i'm on deadline here.
I know your pain... one of the edit stations I had to use for the longest time was a 'FAST Video Machine', an old German workhorse. If anyone knows what I mean, they'll know how painfully slow they were (yet gracious and still ahead-of-their-time). Now I have the choice of buying my own system, and one of the options is the great-great-grandson of the Video Machine, the Pinnacle Liquid Pro, or the considerably more expensive Avid Studio Express. Any suggestions?
Hate to burst your bubble, but last week Avid announced it was buying Pinnacle for about $450M. Rumor has it that the Liquid line will be killed off, or at least wither on the vine.
