Went to a Jesse Jackson press conference today. I'm not even gonna attempt writing about it - too much semi-crazy stuff happened for me to make a short, coherent post. I'm just gonna post this shot of him sitting in a recliner on someone's lawn.

That is just crazy! Did people pick him up and start carrying him around like the Ewoks did with C3PO when they thought he was a god. That's what I picture happened in my mind anyways...
I miss my "Jesse time," but then I come to my senses.
He was late (like always) to a press conference in the projects named for him. Everyone was asking, "where's Jesse?" Finally, I told one of the little girls to ask him why he was late when he arrived. So I gave her my stick mic and when he arrived, she ran up and said, "Jesse, Jesse, why are you so late?" Seeing the mic in her hand, he paused and said, "well' aren't you sweet." I have it on tape.
Every time I see the guy I can't help but think of his Hymie Town comment back in the 80's and then the resulting Saturday Night Live skit of it.

Seeing Jesse in a recliner, in a front yard makes me miss upstate SC so deep down in my heart :( but just for a second.
