Move over Little Lost Robot, there's a new blogger in town. His name is JL Watkins and he's got a weird, little video blog on his station's website.

Okay, I'm done with talking in 3rd person. Starting today, I joined the ranks of my station's website bloggers, with my very own blog page, "Click on JL". Right now the posts (which showcase video blogs) are mostly tie-ins to some sweeps projects that we're working on. But, eventually I'll be hitting all the hard issues: gadgets, computer electrickery, and internet stuff. No dancing robots, I'm afraid.

I wasn't sure about doing a station blog at first, but everyone has been really supportive and are basically letting me be myself - and the posting schedule is pretty felixible. All in all: pretty rad. [still, no dancing robots]

Monday update:

1. Less than one week left to read The DaVinci Code before it hits theatres. Probably not going to happen - not with all the kick-ass sweeps television shows that're on. [Also, from all the relentless trailers and tv spots, I've already figured out that Ian McKellen is probably a villain.]

2. This is the line where I talk about how fanatical I'm getting about "Lost".

3. Our photographer lounge project at work has entered phase two. [We moved junk from one room to another]. Take that all you naysayers!

4. I'm think getting addicted to World of Warcraft.

That is all for now.
Robot out.

That's pretty cool.

Oh, speaking as a professional geek - that Darik boot 'n nuke software, a better term would be freeware instead of shareware (its best not to get into the religious wars called OSS). That button thingy on the project is just a donation button, not a registration button.

I think pretty soon we will all be bloging for the station. Video bloging, way to one up the rest of us. I do have one question? Did they offer you a huge raise to write for the web site like they did me?

There has been no talks of raises or anything like that - I'm not going to press for that anyway.

Their approach was more like, "you already sit in front of the computer all the time anyway and do this kind of stuff"

Emily - thanks for the heads-up on the freeware vs shareware thing. I have a bad habit of just saying "shareware".

Dude, weird - I am in Asheville, visiting from Portland for the rest of this week, and I just turned on the TV and the very first thing I see if your mug on a Click on JL promo for "how to secure your wireless router." I've been sub'ed to your blog since like forever. Crazy coincidences. Heh.

Those video blogs were DAMN well done, LLR. Nice work!

You sure you can't sneak a robot into the background for your standups or something, though? Protect your gimmick! :-)

With your talent... I imagine they will let you dance your little robot heart out! WTG. I love the new franchise. Quoting Cogs here, "you rock!"

Oh and-- How's Evander doing? Got new pants yet?
