Last Girlfriend

Last Girlfriend is a charming little film I directed about resolving relationship issues in a post apocalyptic world of flesh eating zombies.  It was shot on DV with a Canon GL-1 and later edited on an AVID system. Our lead actress, Kitty let us take over her already creepy house and turn it into a zombie-proof fortress.

Every window in the living room was covered with wood shipping platforms - for the boarded-up feeling .We shot the entire thing in one evening from sundown to sunrise. Filming was constant and the cast was upstairs the whole time drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon and watching "Dawn of the Dead" for inspiration.

We used a ton of different things for our gross zombie effects, but the best was plain old Tomato juice - which ended up on everything possible. Ian, our lead actor shoed up to the event with several crates of weapons, but real and otherwise, but the best prop would be the 40lb chainsaw on the kitchen counter.

The film later premiered at our very own "Gore-O-Rama" film festival in Portland.

I have no idea when, but I'll have streaming video here sometime soon, so you can check it all out.
[ On a side note, I don't really know how to compress my video to stream it - any locals wanna help?]
